KCSO arrests five for giving alcohol to minors through Alcoholic Beverage Control decoy operation

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — In the month of March 2019, the Kern County Sheriff's Office arrested five people while conducting decoy operations at businesses that are licenses to sell alcohol throughout Kern County.

The operations were done through a $100,000 grant from the California Alcoholic Beverage Control. The operations consist of minor decoys, undercover stings and any other alcohol related crimes. All five subjects were arrested for furnishing alcoholic beverages to a minor decoy:

45-year-old Robert Craig from Bakersfield was arrested for "furnishing alcohol to minor", possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

23-year-old Vanessa Moreno from Bakersfield was arrested for "furnishing alcohol to minor".

26-year-old Mallory Rogers from Bakersfield was arrested for violating furnishing alcohol to minor, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

46-year-old Uvicelia Esquivelmuro of Bakersfield was arrested for furnishing alcohol to minor.

30-year-old Albert Varela of Bakersfield was arrested for violating BP 25658(a), Furnishing alcohol to minor.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind the public that underage drinking is illegal and very dangerous. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is working in partnership with the Alcoholic Beverage Control to combat the illegal selling and consumption of minors.
