KCSO arrests man in East Bakersfield on weapon and narcotics charges

The Kern County Sheriff's Office arrested a man for possession of guns and narcotics on Saturday.

KCSO's Gang Unit detectives executed a search warrant in the 1500 block of Bernard Place in east Bakersfield.

When initially contacted by detectives, 35-year-old Bulmaro Perez was armed with a loaded firearm and narcotics for sale.

Upon further search of Perez' vehicle, detectives discovered more than seven ounces of methamphetamine. 

Perez was arrested and booked into the Sheriff's downtown jail.

He faces a slew of charges including being a felon in possession of a firearm, methamphetamine sales, cocaine and heroin sales and maintaining a house for the purpose of drug sales. 

Perez' bail is set at $120,000.
