On January 20, 2016 at approximately 7:30 p.m., deputies from the Sheriff's Gang Unit executed a search warrant at 1901 Oregon St. Inside the residence, deputies contacted 18 year old Javier Rodriguez.
As a part of this investigation deputies also contacted 22 year old Leonardo Garcia at a second location.
During a search of the residence, deputies located a loaded and stolen semi-automatic handgun, a half of a pound of methamphetamine, 6 pounds of marijuana, a small amount of heroin and US currency.
Rodriguez was arrested on a charge of possessing a stolen firearm. Garcia was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of sale, possession of marijuana for the purpose of sale and possession of heroin.
Rodriguez and Garcia were booked into the Kern County Sheriff's Central Receiving Facility.
