The Kern County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in connection to a robbery that happened in November. Officials said on the evening of Friday November 30th, 2018, the House of Fun Smoke Shop in Wasco was robbed at gun point by a masked suspect. During their investigating, officials obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 1100 block of 7th Place near Broadway St. for evidence related to the crime. On Friday December 7th, 2018, at approximately 7:00 p.m., deputies executed the search warrant and contacted 24-year-old, Wasco resident Armando Garcia Zendejas who was standing on the side walk near the front yard of the house. Deputies searched Zendejas and located a .38 caliber revolver in his waist band. After further investigation, deputies developed probable cause and arrested Zendejas for the robbery. Zendejas was booked in the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Central Receiving Facility for charges including robbery, being a masked criminal in possession of a firearm in public, participating in a criminal street gang, and carrying a concealed weapon while participating in a criminal street gang.
