KCSO: Bakersfield woman arrested after stolen property sold on website

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A suspect has been arrested after it was discovered that stolen property was being sold online, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives with the Rural Crime Investigation Unit received information Wednesday that the items stolen from a local utility company were up for purchase on an undisclosed website.

Detectives responded to a home in the 500 block of Twinleaf Drive in Oildale where they contacted Christine Paulson, 33, of Bakersfield, officials stated.

A probation search of the residence was conducted, and authorities located various stolen items valuing approximately $25,000, according to KCSO.

Paulson was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property and two unrelated misdemeanor warrants. She was subsequently booked into the Kern County jail.
