TAFT, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating the discovery of a body in Taft on Wednesday morning.

KCSO says the man's body was found around 8:40 a.m. in the area of 25 Hill Road in Taft. The man's name has not been released at this point.

The Kern County Coroner's Office will release his identity and determine cause and manner of death.
