ARVIN, Calif. — Kern County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a planned bomb squad demonstration in the area of Highway 223 and North Wheeler Ridge Road in Arvin.

This demonstration will take place between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on April 15.

KCSO says it responds to about 75 bomb threat calls per year. The bomb squad does not evacuate based on threats, but only once police determine that suspicious objects are on scene.
