On December 3, 2016, Kern County Sheriff’s Office Delano substation deputies responded to the Denny's on Zachary Avenue regarding a bomb threat.

A male subject called the business and advised there was a bomb in the building. 

Deputies arrived and found the suspect, 39-year-old Miguel Duran.  No bomb was located inside of the business. 

Duran was arrested on charges of making a false bomb threat and falsely reporting an emergency. He was booked into the Kern County Jail Central Receiving Facility.
