On October 5th, 2016 at 12:06 a.m., Wasco Substation deputies were working foot patrol in the area when they saw 30-year-old Abraham Rodriguez riding a bicycle.
Deputies watched Rodriguez smash a window to McCafferty’s Cleaners on 7th Street, west of Highway 43, and possibly steal items from inside the business.
Rodriguez fled the area and was quickly located at a nearby residence on D Street, also west of Highway 43. Deputies searched the residence and found stolen property possibly linking Rodriguez to other recent commercial burglaries.
He was then transported by deputies to the Central Receiving Facility where he was booked on charges of commercial burglary.
Rodriguez is currently being held on $10,000.00 bail.
Anyone with additional information about the burglaries to the Wasco business district is asked to contact the Kern County Sheriff’s Office at 661-861-3110 or the Secret Witness at 661-322-4040.
