KCSO detectives on scene of an infant death in the 4400 block of Gatson Street.
Detectives were called out to the Northwest Bakersfield residence at about 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Detectives said they received a call at about 7 a.m. that the infant had stopped breathing.
The baby was taken to Mercy Southwest but was pronounced dead.
KCSO detectives says that the death doesn't appear to be suspicious.
