Suspected narcotics lab discovered after fight between neighbors

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A suspected narcotics lab was discovered at a home in Oildale after a fight between neighbors.

According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, around midnight on May 4, a fight broke out at a home on Misty Meadows Drive near North Chester Avenue in Oildale. Sometime during the fight, KCSO says a man was stabbed in the leg.

Around 8 a.m., deputies responded to the home for an assault with a deadly weapon investigation. Deputies arrested Christopher Cartwright outside of the home for assault with a deadly weapon.

When deputies were searching the home for the suspected knife, they discovered a suspected narcotics lab.

KCSO says they also discovered numerous firearms and cash inside the home, as well as the knife allegedly used in the fight.
