The Kern County Sheriff's Office is looking to add to its department.
KCSO is looking to hire deputy sheriff trainees. A flyer released Thursday morning details what's needed to join and how much a trainee can make once hired.
Trainees can make between about $3,400 and $4,300 a month. After completing time as a trainee, deputies can make between about $3,700 and $5,400 a month.
Requirements according to KCSO:
- Applicants must be 19 years of age or older by the filing deadline.
- Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Must possess a valid California Class C driver's license.
- U.S. citizens or permanent resident aliens who are eligible have have applied for citizenship.
