The Kern County Sheriff's Office, Coroner's section has released the name of the person found in Lake Ming. 

17-year-old Alejandro Esqueda Garcia was found on July 4th in the river north of Lake Ming. 

Officials said Garcia was swimming in the Kern River in the area of Lake Ming on July 1st when he was seen going under the water while swimming toward the shoreline. 

Witnesses said he did not resurface. 

An autopsy will be scheduled to determine cause and manner of death.
