KCSO: Illegal gambling casino shutdown in East Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office Metro Patrol Section has shut down an illegal gambling casino in East Bakersfield.

Deputies served a search warrant on April 10 at 2514 River Boulevard where they found about 15 patrons gambling.

KCSO also seized a total of 254.9 grams of methamphetamine, $5,242.80 in U.S. Currency, one eight player Fish Gaming Table, nine computer towers, and 24 computer monitors.

An employee and operator of the casino, 45-year-old Jorge Luis Vallejo, was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine for sale.

Vallejo was arrested and booked into Kern County Jail on various drug related charges, Holding Gambling Stakes, and Keep Premises for Gambling.
