Kern County Sheriff's Office shared an in memoriam post on their Facebook page of rescue volunteer, Terry Lee Greer who passed away 45 years ago during a search for a possible drowning victim in a canal south of McFarland.

According to the Officer Down Memorial Page, Greer drowned while searching for the victim.
