The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating a suspicious death in Oildale Monday morning. 

Officials said around 3:30 a.m. deputies responded to Olive Dr and Roberts Lane after reports of a non-responsive man.

Officials said when they arrived they found an adult white man in his 40's lying on the sidewalk and not breathing. 

Hall Ambulance responded to the area and pronounced the man dead. 

Officials said there were no obvious signs of trauma, but due to the suspicious nature of the incident homicide detectives arrived and and began investigating. 

The Kern County Coroner's Office will release the victims identity after next of kin is located.
