BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Department is investigating after a man was shot in the leg in East Bakersfield.

On Monday, January 14 around 7:43 p.m., KCSO says deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of Oregon Street in East Bakersfield. When deputies arrived, they found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was taken to Kern Medical with non-life threatening injuries.

KCSO says the suspect is described as a black man in his 50’s last seen wearing a black shirt and blue pants.
