Coroner determines woman shot in east Bakersfield died of gunshot wound to the head, neck

The Kern County Coroner determined the cause for death for 26-year-old Cecilia Danielle Flores of Bakersfield was gunshot wound of head and neck and manner was homicide. 

The Kern County Sheriff's Office began investigating a deadly shooting that occurred in east Bakersfield early Saturday morning.

Around 12:45 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 3100 block of Niles Street for reports of a person laying on the ground in the parking lot of a business.

When they arrived they located a Hispanic female that had been shot. 

Flores was transported to Kern Medical where she later died.
