BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to Southeast Bakersfield for a report of a baby not breathing.
Deputies said when they arrived on scene with medical aid, they began life saving efforts. The baby was then transported to an area hospital and pronounced deceased.
The investigation is active and on-going.
