BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — The Kern County Sheriff's Office said deputies are investigating after a 5-year-old boy from Las Vegas was found unresponsive Saturday in a Northwest Bakersfield swimming pool.
The incident happened at about 1 p.m. in the 400 block of Penzance Drive, said KCSO.
KCSO said Oliver Michael Shine, 5, was taken to Bakersfield Memorial Hospital where he was later declared dead.
