KCSO investigating family shooting in east Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating a family dispute that lead to a shooting Sunday afternoon.

The call came in just after seven this evening on the 400 block of Washington Street and Virginia Avenue. Officials say the victim is male suffering from two gun shot wounds to the torso. He is being treated at Kern Medical for moderate injuries.

The suspect is 23-year-old Moses Trejo. KCSO officials say Trejo is related to the victim, however their relationship is unknown at this time. Trejo remains on the run.

KCSO says the shooting is unrelated to a shooting earlier occurring around the 2000 block of Larcus Avenue. If you have information, call 661-861-3110.
