Suspect arrested for stabbing, killing man in Oildale

UPDATE (Aug 20 9:20 a.m.): Detectives determined that Christopher Mangham, 30, stabbed Arnold Ford in the 1100 block of Roberts Lane and were able to get arrest warrant for Mangham for murder. 

On August 21, 2017, Mangham was located by deputies in Oildale. He was arrested without incident and booked into the Central Receiving Facility. His bail has been set for $500,000.

UPDATE (Aug. 20 11:24a.m.): Family members have identified the person killed in Oildale Sunday night as Arnold Ford.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office is on the scene of a fatal stabbing in Oildale.

Deputies were called to the 300 block of Sanford Drive near Roberts Lane in Oildale just after 8 p.m. on Saturday night. When they arrived, they found a man down with what appeared to be at least one stab wound.

The man was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. KCSO says there is no suspect information at this time.
