The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man died in Lamont on Monday morning.
KCSO says they responded to the 10200 block of San Fernando Street at about 3:30 a.m. for reports of a person down. When they got there, they found a man suffering from traumatic injuries. The man was later pronounced dead at the scene, and his identity is currently unknown.
Homicide detectives were sent to the scene and have since taken over the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact KCSO at 661-861-3110 or the Secret Witness Hotline at 661-322-4040.
