The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating a suspicious death after they were called out to the area of Sandrini Road and Wheeler Ridge on Friday night.

When they arrived after a report of a possible body around 10:08 p.m. they located a deceased body suffering from obvious trauma.

The person has not yet been identified by homicide detectives.
