OILDALE, Calif. — Kern County Sheriff's Office Detectives are investigating a shooting in Oildale that left one man dead.

Officials said they received a call for a shooting victim at 3:21 a.m. Sunday at 200 block of Beardsley Avenue. When they arrived on scene, they found 33-year-old Roger Archer Jr. with at least one gunshot wound. After receiving medical attention, he was pronounced dead on scene.

No further updates on the victim have been provided but officials said the shooting unfolded inside of the Maines Trailor Park. Officials are still working to determine a motive and a suspect.
