KCSO looking for armed carjacking suspect in the Johannesburg area

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — According to KCSO, there is currently an active search for a possibly armed suspect in the Johannesburg area. At approximately 10:15 a.m., a suspect carjacked a person at gunpoint in the Ridgecrest area.

The victim was unharmed, but the search has led KCSO to Johannesburg where they are continuing to search with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office.

According to KCSO the suspect stole a truck and motorcycle in the Freemont Valley area and was armed with a shotgun during the theft.
The vehicles were recovered in the Red Mountain area of San Bernardino County.

KCSO has described the suspect as Nicholas Aaron Stiles, a white man at 5 feet 9 inches with brown hair and brown eyes, weighing approximately 215 pounds.
