KCSO arrests 31-year-old man connected to two burglaries in Lebec

KCSO arrested 31-year-old Garrett Sanders in Bakersfield on Wednesday.

KCSO has identified the man wanted for two burglaries as 31-year-old Garrett Sanders. Officials said they're now asking the public to help locate Sanders.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who is suspected of burglarizing a Jack In The Box and China Red House in Lebec early Tuesday morning.

Deputies said around 5:30 a.m. they were dispatched to the fast-food business at 73 Frazier Mountain Park regarding a vandalism. According to officials, a stolen United Rentals forklift crashed into the side of the Jack In The Box where it was left in the lobby.

KCSO said the unidentified suspect vandalized items inside of Jack In The Box and stole about $600. The stolen forklift was returned to the owner.

Hours later around 10 a.m., deputies were called to China Red House on Frazier Mountain Park Road for a reported burglary. Officials said the front glass doors to the business were damaged and around $500 was stolen.

KCSO believes the burglaries were related and is describing the suspect as a white or Hispanic man with a medium build wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt, blue undershirt, blue jeans with dark colored belt, and tan boots.

Officials said the suspect's car was also stolen and has been identified as a 2019 Dodge Ram 250 (CA 31920R2) which is being investigated by the Bakersfield Police Department.
