The Kern County Sheriff's Office is looking for the public's help in identifying two suspects wanted for copper wire thefts near Wasco.

Over the last several months, KCSO's Rural Crime Investigation Unit has seen an increase in these thefts, costing victims thousands of dollars to replace and repair damaged copper wire.

Detectives captured these photos of suspects removing copper wire from a pump station north of Wasco after installing surveillance in several areas in February.

The first suspect is described as a white man, between 40 and 50-years-old, wearing dark pants, a jacket, beanie, and Nike shoes

The second suspect is described as wearing glasses, a thick mustache, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and holding a golf club.

Anyone with information about their identities is asking to call KCSO's Rural Crime Unit at (661)392-4365 or (661)861-3110. You can also call Secret Witness at (661)322-4040.
