The Kern County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man believed to be involved in a double homicide near Rexland Acres Park in July.
According to KCSO, 42-year-old Gudelio Gutierrez Grande was arrested on Thursday and faces two counts of first-degree murder.
KCSO says 31-year-old Marbeli Castro-Garcia of Lamont and 36-year-old Emilio Diaz Chavez of Los Angeles were found shot to death on July 21.
Grande was found Thursday in the area of Pioneer Drive and Pesante Road. KCSO says Grande tried to run off, but was caught by detectives. He was found with a loaded gun.
KCSO says Grande was in a relationship with Castro-Garcia.
He's scheduled to be in court Monday.
