On 1-13-16 at 1136 hours, deputies were sent to 1029 Knotts Street to the report of shots being fired. Upon their arrival, they found a 34-year-old Hispanic male suffering from gunshot wounds. 

Fire and medical personnel arrived and drove the victim to Kern Medical for treatment.

The victim later died from his injuries at the hospital. 

The Coroner will release the victim’s identity pending notification of his next of kin. Anyone with any information regarding this homicide is asked to contact the Kern County Sheriff’s Office at 661-861-3110 or Secret Witness at 661-322-4040.
