Man hurt, suspect wanted in Lamont shooting

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in locating Rafael Lopez.

Lopez has been identified as the suspect responsible for a shooting that occurred at the Fastrip Store at 10301 Main Street in Lamont on April 24th at about 12:46 am.

The victim sustained several gunshot wounds.

A $1,000,000 warrant has been issued for Lopez’s arrest charging him with attempt murder, participating in a criminal street gang, and being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm. He frequents the Lamont area.
