KCSO officials said that was one person is dead in a homicide that took place in Lamont early Sunday morning.

KCSO says at around 1:30 am, their deputies were sent to San Diego and Kearney Avenue in Lamont.

Deputies found a Hispanic male adult lying on the sidewalk next to a church suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

KCSO officials said that fire and medical personnel arrived on scene to render aid, however the subject was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Coroner will release the victim’s identity once his next of kin has been notified.
