Kern County Sheriff officials said a man was shot multiple times in the 1000 block of Knotts Street Tuesday morning.
The victim was transported to Kern Medical and died as a result of his injuries.
Witnesses said the suspect or suspects may have fled the area in a white compact vehicle.
