BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A search warrant was executed by the Kern County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit and Homeland Security Investigations on Wednesday, February 27 at about 3:46 p.m.
The Southeast Bakersfield search led investigators to $22,210, approximately 33.5 pounds of meth with an estimated street value of $304,180, one-half gallon of liquid meth with a possible yield of 2.5 pounds of additional processed meth, a 9 mm handgun and a functional methamphetamine conversion lab.
Officials arrested 29-year-old Jorge Alberto Espitia-Hernandez for the sales of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for sale while armed, operation of a methamphetamine conversion lab, child endangerment and maintaining a residence for the purpose of sales.
He was booked into the KCSO central receiving facility.
