UPDATE 12:43 p.m.: Both women are out of the water and there are no reported injuries at this time according Sgt. Bittle of KCSO Search and Rescue.

KCFD official said a helicopter was used to rescue both females. Neither agency provided information about how the two females ended up in the river.
