BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The 17-year-old shot and killed near Pioneer Park on Monday afternoon has been identified by the coroner as Francisco Puentes.
The coroner determined Puentes' cause of death to be multiple gunshot wounds and manner of death as homicide.
The shooting happened around 4:45 p.m. on Pioneer Drive, east of Valencia Drive near Pioneer Park.
When officers arrived on scene they found the 17-year-old suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was transported to an area hospital where he later died, officials said.
KCSO said the suspects are believed to be three or more Hispanic males occupying a grey or silver four-door sedan.
