At Tuesday's Board of Supervisors meeting, KCSO Chief Deputy Tyson Davis told the board about the lack of money in the Secret Witness reward fund.

Davis said the fund is 100% donation based, so local law enforcement relies on the community to fund rewards. He said previously, the former owners of RJ's held a golf tournament that generated about $12,000 every year, donating that money to the fund.

"The organization that provided that fundraiser has stopped doing that for the past four years and our funds have dwindled down," said Davis.

Davis said the current money available for rewards is $1,500.
