KCSO: Search warrant results in seizure of large amount of heroin and cocaine

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit and the Homeland Security Investigations executed a search warrant on Friday, February 22 in Southeast Bakersfield.

The search took place just before 11:28 a.m. in the area of 500 Salazar Avenue. During the search, investigators located $27,885, approximately 5 pounds of cocaine with an estimated street value of $181,320, approximately 1.64 pounds of heroin with an estimated street value of $59,680, a large amount of a cutting agent used to increase the amount of drugs prior to sale and additional evidence associated with the sales of illegal drugs.

According to KCSO, 27-year-old Marco Antonio Cuevas Gonzalez and 45-year-old Eliut Diaz Lopez were arrested for the sales of cocaine, sales of heroin, conspiracy, use of a false compartment in a vehicle and maintaining a residence for the purpose of sales.
