The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an attempted robbery suspect.

On July 30 around 10 p.m. a suspect attempted to rob an employee from the McDonald’s located at 5363 Olive Drive.

The suspect was panhandling outside the business and when the employee refused to give him money or cigarettes, he assaulted her and tried to steal her purse and cigarettes.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, 30-35 years old, with a medium build.
