Kern County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a suspect who they say stole a big-rig truck.

The 911 call originated in the same area where deputies set up a perimeter. A K-9 unit was deployed to the area of Amador. 

As deputies approached the truck, the suspect got out and ran on foot. A nearby car was hit by the stolen truck and had to be towed away.

Deputies set up a perimeter, but have been told they can clear as they did not catch the suspect.
