KCSO seizes suspected narcotics and revolver during traffic stop

On September 9 at about 11 p.m. the Kern County Sheriff's Office deputies conducted a traffic stop on a man riding a bicycle near the intersection of Decatur Street and Oildale Drive.

Deputies said that during the traffic stop, 33-year-old Leon Sullivan of Bakersfield was found to be in possession of a loaded .22 caliber revolver and several different bindles of suspected narcotics. The seized drugs were suspected to be morphine pills, heroin and methamphetamine.

Sullivan was arrested on charges including possession of sales and being a felon in possession of a firearm, deputies said.
