KCSO: Seven people injured after string of shootings

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office is looking for any information regarding a string of shootings that injured seven people.

According to KCSO, the latest shooting happened in the area of Washington Street and Virginia Avenue. A suspect in that shooting has been identified as 22-year-old Moses Trejo.

KCSO says the first shooting happened Friday on South Chester in the parking lot of a marijuana shop. The victim in that shooting was reportedly driving away from the location when he was allegedly shot.

Deputies discovered two other victims of another shooting when they arrived at a local hospital. They also obtained information that a third victim at the hospital was allegedly grazed by a bullet.

Officials say that shooting happened near Niles and Mount Vernon when a car reportedly pulled up to the victims and opened fire.

On Sunday, KCSO says a male victim was shot on Larcus Avenue.

Later that day, another victim was shot in the area of Sebastian Road and Wheeler Ridge.

KCSO has not confirmed if any of these shooting are related.
