A six-month-old child died on Thursday after the child was found not breathing on Belle Ave.

Kern County Sheriff officials said at around  9:13 P.M., they were sent to the 330 block of Belle Avenue to the report of a six-month-old baby not breathing.

KCSO officials said the fire and medical personnel arrived on scene as well and helped continue CPR.

The child was transported to San Joaquin Hospital and was later pronounced deceased.

Detectives responded and found nothing criminal during their preliminary investigation.

The Coroner will release the child’s identity and attempt to determine the cause of death after an autopsy is performed.  

The investigation is ongoing.
