Kern County Sheriff officials say a man was arrested and was transported in an ambulance in Oildale Friday afternoon.

According to KCSO, at around 3:00 p.m., a patrol sergeant was flagged down near Manor and Day Street by an individual that said a family member had made some threats.

KCSO deputies immediately responded  to the 500 block of Arvin Street where the suspect was taken into custody.

Officials say 29-year-old Alejandro Oliveras was first seen on the front porch before going into the house.

Although the swat team was called, KCSO's K-9 unit was able to apprehend Oliveras after he had tried to get in a car and back out of the driveway.

Sheriff’s say the only injuries that occurred during this were from the k-9 unit detaining Oliveras.

Oliveras is now facing charges of making terrorist threats, resisting and delaying an investigation and public intoxication.

Authorities say the only injuries that occurred during this incident were from the k-9 unit detaining Oliveras.

KCSO officials added that the family did take all the correct steps to remain safe and report the issue.
