KCSO: Student arrested for threatening a shooting at Buttonwillow Union School

BUTTONWILLOW, Calif. — A student was arrested after threatening a shooting at Buttonwillow Union School.

According to the Kern County Sheriff's Department, around 11:08 p.m. on May 29, deputies were called regarding a threat to Buttonwillow Union School. Deputies learned a student had threatened a shooting at the school on social media

KCSO says deputies went to the student's house and booked him into Juvenile Hall for criminal threats.

KCSO says no firearms were located, and there are no other suspects involved.

KCSO will have a presence at school today and at graduation tonight.
