WASCO, Calif. — KSCO deputies are looking for a second suspect they say robbed and beat an elderly man in Wasco.
Officials say on Monday around 6:15 a.m. they were dispatched to a report of a robbery, when they arrived they spoke with a 75-year-old man who told them that he was beaten and robbed of his wallet and cell phone during a morning walk. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries and is currently in a medically induced coma.
Further investigation revealed that the alleged robbery happened around 6 a.m. in the 1000 block of 7th Street. Surveillance video also showed that there were two suspects involved.
After obtaining a felony warrant, deputies were able to arrest 28-year-old Dabrae Dugan and charge him with robbery, elder abuse, conspiracy and battery with great bodily injury. Dugan has been booked into Kern County Sheriff’s Office Central Receiving Facility for his warrant.
The second suspect involved is outstanding and has yet to be identified. He's being described as a black man, approximately 25 years of age, with a large build and possibly light facial hair.
