I-5 back open following KCSO SWAT standoff

BAKERSFIELD, CALIF — UPDATE: All lanes are now open on the I-5 after a KCSO SWAT standoff.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the chase started in Los Angeles. The driver tried to drive away after being pulled over for no license plates.

CHP says one man, woman, two minors, and a dog were in the car. CHP says they stopped the car with spike strips and once the car was stopped the passengers barricaded themselves inside.

One suspect is in custody.
The I-5 is shut down in both directions near Seventh Standard Road and State Route 58.

According to CHP, there is a KCSO SWAT stand-off with one vehicle following a pursuit from Los Angeles.
