A Tehachapi correctional officer was arrested on Friday after he was busted for offering a 15-year-old girl money for sex. 

Officials said that Edward Thomas Jr., 43, was in the 3300 block of Virginia Avenue and offered the minor money in exchange for sexual favors, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Department.

Thomas was arrested and book on charges of solicitation of a prostitute and annoying a victim under 18.

He has since bailed out of jail.
