WASCO, Calif. — A man and woman have been arrested after a narcotics investigation in Wasco, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

On Monday, after a two-week narcotics investigation, deputies with the Kern County Sheriff's Office Wasco Substation served a narcotics search warrant in the area of 800 D Street.

During a search, deputies said they found around 27 grams of suspected methamphetamine, packaging for narcotics sales, and $24,500 in fake 100 dollar bills.

Officials said 48-year-old Javier Medina, and 26-year-old Victoria Sidhu were arrested for Possession of Narcotics for Sales, Keeping a Residence for the Purpose of Narcotics Sales, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Counterfeit Currency. Both Medina and Sidhu were booked into Central Receiving Facility.
