BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Drivers in East Bakersfield are celebrating thanks to the improvement of Kentucky Street.
The City Streets Division recently finished repaving Kentucky Street between Baker and Williams Streets.
According to Bakersfield City Councilmember Andrae Gonzales, the City also received a $850,000 grant for the Kentucky Greening Project, which aims to add sidewalks, irrigation, and landscaping to the south-side of Kentucky Street between Baker and Mount Vernon.
